Doesn't really play it enough for laughs. The pace of the thing seems off. The ABC version cuts better and plays for silliness, then gets serious on the last game - much better.
I'm pretty sure the wipeout zone in the British version is much much easier. People were just blowing by the spinner, which was a real killer in the first season on ABC. The reason why is the spinner moves much slower on the Brit version. Not that many barrels on the barrel roll, either.
